Harvey Zielinski is a transmasculine actor, writer, director, and producer working across screen and stage. His work as a creator is driven by a passion for queer storytelling and social commentary, often expressed through dark comedy.

Harvey recently wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his debut feature film SWEET MILK LAKE, which completed post-production in 2025 and will premiere in 2026. The film is an Originate Feature, produced by Film Camp and financed by VicScreen, Screen Australia, MIFF Premiere Fund, SBS, Arenamedia, The Post Lounge, Minderoo Pictures, Feracious Entertainment, and WeirAnderson Films, with additional support from Impact Australia 2 and the ABC Fresh Start Fund. Harvey also attended the TIFF Ontario Creates Market with the project in 2022. Sweet Milk Lake is one of five films nominated for an AWGIE in the Feature Original category in 2026. Screen Daily included SWEET MILK LAKE in 75 films to tempt festival directors in 2026, and ScreenHub included SWEET MILK LAKE in 10 Australian films we can’t wait to see.

Harvey is currently writing his second feature, THUGS, with support from Screen Australia, and has a slate of projects in development across film and television. Harvey is a Malthouse Theatre–commissioned playwright and a writer on the ABC comedy series WHITE FEVER, in which he also starred as series regular Charlie. He co-wrote episode five with creator Ra Chapman; the episode was AWGIE-nominated and a Betty Roland Prize finalist. He was Director’s Attachment to Emma Freeman on THE NEWSREADER (Season 2) and directed the Victorian Government’s THE UNSAID SAYS A LOT campaign.

As an actor, Harvey is a two-time Heath Ledger Scholarship finalist, 2018 Red Stitch Actors’ Theatre Graduate Ensemble Member and winner of the Casting Guild of Australia’s Rising Star Award. He is best known as Charlie in WHITE FEVER, the ruthless fixer Abel in DON’T LOOK DEEPER (dir. Catherine Hardwicke, starring Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer) and Gez Rahme in DEADLOCH (Amazon Prime). Other screen credits include LOVE ME, MY FIRST SUMMER, SPREADSHEET, METROSEXUAL, WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS, and GET KRACK!N.
